I joined the BUILT TO LEAD Band in 2008, bringing nearly 30 years of experience as a leader of teams in brand marketing, innovation, and strategy development for three terrific companies. After all those years, my enduring interest is how cultures of commitment and service create and sustain customer engagement and loyalty. I am a strong advocate for investment in what is known as  “the living brand,” meaning the people who deliver the actual service experience to customers.

 
I'm here to connect others to the idea that the power to achieve their full potential is found in living true to their authentic purpose. As a product of a large, mobile team of eight kids growing up in a military family, I operate from the belief that leadership, at its heart, is a call to service.
 
I'm a graduate of the Universities of Notre Dame (BA) and Virginia (MBA) and also teach MBA-level Services Marketing courses at The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business. My wife Lauri manages to keep me on track while we launch three great kids into early adulthood.
